This was our very first time documenting a wedding at Fairlie Chicago, but it was definitely worth the wait! It's such a cool venue with a great staircase, high ceilings, and of course natural light. We also love that Emma & Kevin decided on this venue also so that they could have their wedding ceremony and reception all in one place. This always makes for a more relaxed day.
These two got ready at the Hyatt Place River North where Emma had one of the sweetest and most tear-jerking first looks with her dad before leaving to meet Kevin down by the Chicago River for their first look. Unfortunately, on the way there, the party bus driver got a little turned around and it ended up taking much longer than expected while our poor groom and Jay were freezing outside. Eventually, we made it and the wait made it that much more special and emotional.
Their ceremony was after sunset so candles provided most of the light during their romantic and heartfelt ceremony. After that, it was dinner and party time as the band MixTape from BeatMix Music rocked the dancefloor.
Thank you to Kelly O'Bryan from Shannon Gail Weddings for managing the day with kindness and making sure everyone was having fun.
